Apex Family Care is currently accepting applications for the following position(s):

  • The Foster Care Specialist assists the Foster Parents and supervisory staff in the delivery of Foster Care Services. Critical job functions include observation, teaching, support, implementation of the service plan, and communication with the client, Foster Families, and Apex Staff and other member of the treatment team. The Foster Care Specialist will also assist individuals served in identifying and accessing community supports and services.

    Qualified individuals will have at least a Bachelor's Degree or High School Diploma and 5+ years of experience working in social services, excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to problem solve issues in a timely manner, a valid driver's license, good driving record, vehicle that is in a condition suitable to transport clients, and ability to successfully pass pre-employment screenings.

  • The Family Support Specialist will offer support and guidance to the client to complete service goals. Family Support staff provides community and professional resources for meeting the financial, emotional, and educational needs of the family in order to maintain family stability or reunification.

    Critical job functions include:

    • Observation
    • Teaching
    • Support
    • Implementation of the service plan
    • Communication with the client, Apex staff and other members of the treatment team.

    Qualified Individuals will have a Bachelor's Degree, experience working with children and at-risk families, excellent written and oral communication skills and a clean driving record are necessary.

  • Parenting Time Specialists will provide support, guidance, parenting education and supervision to biological families working to reunify with their children. This position requires working in the community and in the homes of biological families, as well as use of personal vehicle for transportation of youth.

    Qualified Individuals will have:

    • High School Diploma and 2+ years experience working with children and at-risk families
    • Or Associate's Degree with 1+ year experience working with children and at-risk families
    • Or Bachelor's Degree
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills and a clean driving record are necessary

  • Youth Support Specialists work in a home environment providing structure and supervision to multiple teenaged youth at a time. Qualified individuals will have experience working with teens, and strong decision making skills and problem solving abilities.

    Critical job functions include:

    • Supervision of youth at all times
    • Assisting with activities and maintaining youth schedules
    • Completing necessary documentation


All positions require a valid driver's license, good driving record, vehicle that is in a condition suitable to transport clients, and ability to successfully pass pre-employment screenings.
